4 tips to get serious about improving your hair

Are you one of those people who see September as the month of new beginnings? There’s no need to wait for the New Year to pledge your resolutions, when this month is all about self-improvement.  Maybe it’s the change of seasons, or simply the opportunity to look fabulous for all those upcoming Christmas parties. We all know that having gorgeous hair makes you feel, well, just gorgeous, so let’s set to improving on your tresses with these top tips.

You’ve been meaning to improve your eating habits but haven’t quite made the right changes yet. Here are four foods you need to start adding into your diet to improve the health of your hair.

  1. Avocado & Almonds for shiny locks.
  2. Fatty fish, like salmon, herring and mackerel, are great sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which have been linked to improved hair growth and density.
  3. Berries are packed with antioxidants, which help to protect hair follicles against damage.
  4. Spinach isloaded with beneficial nutrients like folate, iron, and vitamins A and C, all of which may promote hair growth – see it’s not just for Popeye!

So, you’ve been thinking about a new look for a while but not taken the plunge.   Maybe it’s a colour change you crave, a re-style, or simply to cure a long-standing bug bear with your hair. Hair extensions can help in lots of ways, whether that’s curing the locks that simply will not grow, adding a little boost to your volume, adding colour without reaching for the bleach bottle or helping grow out that last style faux pas.

Head to your Remi Cachet stylist to talk through your new look, browse through our colour ring and set September for your hair transformation.

Our Super Stylists recently gave us the heads up on three key hair trends you need to know:

  • 24”, our longest length locks, are most popular right now. Uber long and uber straight like Kim K we hear you say.

  • Tongues are still wagging about Love Island presenter, Caroline Flack lob. Get this signature look, and add a few extensions for volume and to help hold the style.

  • Root stretch and balayage colours are in demand.

Investing in a new look means investing in keeping it looking good. Make sure your stylist takes you through the aftercare guidelines for your hair extensions, as well as giving you tips for styling your hair, so you are clear on how to look after them away from the salon.

Invest in our Miracle Mist and Tangle Tamer, and keep them in your handbag, so that you can keep your mane maintained on the go.
