2023 Wedding Hair Trends - Hair Down Hairstyles
As we are in the midst of spring with summer soon approaching you may be finding your bridal appointments approaching thick and fast. Need some inspiration for the looks? Lucky for you we recently completed our 2023 bridal shoot “Our Bride To Yours” with two of our wonderful Super Stylists and have the looks we think will make an impact this year…
Have you seen our most recent blog post all about updo hairstyles? This gives you the information you need to create two stunning looks for your brides.
This post is all about hair down looks…
Back in April, we released our bridal campaign showcasing four looks, two of which were hair-down hairstyles, modelled by the beautiful Nina and Abby. On the day we were so lucky to be joined by two new Super Stylists Jordan Gourley and Charlotte Fishwick from @jordancharlotte_hairlounge who created the stunning looks.
Two Hair-Down Hairstyles…
Romantic Half Up, Half Down
A romantic yet on-trend half-up half-down style is perfect for any bride. So beautifully simple…
How To Create The Look:
1. Section the hair neatly, taking the first row in line with the ears.
2. Gently backcomb the hair at the root with our Pin Tail Comb. This will help the secure attachment of the Clip Ins.
3. Take a 5” width of our Clip In Deluxe Plus first, open the clips and then hold the piece to the head before closing the clips securely onto the hair.
4. Use a Qute Classic Styler to create loose curls in small subsections across the back of the head.
5. Continue to add all the clip in pieces up the head and curl row by row.
6. Starting at the back of the head, take a small section of hair from the right, twist inwards and pin. Repeat with the left side to match the right side, twisting inwards to the middle. Tease the twists to create a natural undone look.
7. Repeat in small sections on either side, moving towards the front, to have approximately four twists on each side.
8. For the last pieces from the front, twist and tease open before pinning underneath the middle twists.
9. Brush out the curls to create loose waves with our Wave Comb.

Glam Waves
Two words; "simply glamorous"...
How To Create The Look:
1. Section the hair neatly, taking the first row in line with the ears.
2. Gently backcomb the hair at the root with our Pin Tail Comb. This will help the secure attachment of the clip ins.
3. Taking the first of the wider 12” pieces from our Deluxe Plus Clip In Set, open the clips and check the width and positioning of the hair across the head.
4. Starting at one side, hold the clip in up to the backcombed section of the hair and close the clips. Work along the piece closing all six clips.
5. Use tongs to curl the hair and pin the curls up as you work.
6. Repeat the sectioning, backcombing and adding the hair pieces throughout the hair.
7. Create a deep side centre parting. Unpin the curls and allow them to form waves through the hair, and pin clips across the hair to hold the waves in place.
Finish with a little Hair Oil before brushing out the waves gently with our Smoothing Brush to create a sleek finish.
Why not add an embellished clip like in look we created for Nina? This will hold the hair neatly behind the ear and away from the face on one side for an extra touch of glamour.
