Easy Ways to Step It Up this Recycle Week

The opportunities to recycle are everywhere. We’ve got some handy tips this Recycling Week to make it even easier to reduce, reuse, and recycle more. This years theme is to ‘Step It Up this Recycle Week’, and these few changes will help make a difference.

Reduce

The number of times you wash your hair We only recommend washing your hair once or twice a week, so if you wash your hair more than this, try moving your hair wash day to a date in the future to reduce the times you wash per week.

The amount of product you use Reduce the number of products you use on your hair, only use the recommend products for your hair such as our Remi Cachet shampoo, Conditioner, Miracle Mist, and Hair Oil. A common mistake people make is that they shampoo the lengths and ends of their hair, whereas, you only need to shampoo the scalp and top section of the hair, as the shampoo will rinse down and through the lengths of the hair.

Reuse

Our aftercare bottles Our Shampoo and Conditioner come in 1L bottles, allowing you to re-use your smaller bottles and refill them at the salon.

Our Packaging Our packaging is not only beautiful, it’s also reusable. Most of our packaging come in handy pouches that can not only store your hair, but can be reused in a variety of ways. Time to get creative and up-cycle!

Recycle

Our Hair Yes, you read that right. We have a Hair Recycling Scheme, so you never need to bin a set of extensions again. The best bit, we accept any brand of extensions as long as they are 100% human hair. We work with the charity ‘A Matter of Trust’ who use the hair to create hair mats to keep the waterways and oceans clean from debris and oil. You can find out more about Hair Recycling here.

Our Packaging If you haven’t got a nifty way to reuse our packaging, then make sure you put everything into your curb side recycling for collection. Just make sure to check the packaging to see if your local council accepts them for recycling!

In case you missed it, our Hair Recycling Scheme won the Marie Claire Hair Hero Awards 2021.

Need a little more inspiration? Listen to Jo Fox – our Hair Recycler of the Year 2019 and 2020 explain why she is committed to recycling as much as possible.

Don’t forget to shout about how you’re reducing, reusing, and recycling this Recycle Week.
