Bridal Hair Trends
Following a year where weddings have been a small and intimate affair; 2021 is continuing the low-key theme. Bridal hair is all about a natural feel to reflect your true look, feminine and with simple touches. However, getting that effortless look sometimes needs a little help from hair extensions to achieve this well and if you can’t treat yourself for your big day, then, when can you?
Naturally youWith so many of us embracing a more natural version of ourselves, we are embracing our true hair colour, our real hair texture and opting for easy-to-maintain looks. This trend is being embraced in the bridal world to show the real you off as you start a new married life.
With a wide range of base colours, and mixed shades to create even more natural looking blends, there is a colour to match perfectly.
Styling wise, looser with a hint of effortlessness are what we are seeing. For example, Emma Louise Connolly shared her low bun, hinting at a natural wave to her hair, and framing her face with a few teased out strands.
Effortless however, is trickier to pull off than people think. Even for a simple wearing your hair down and a few deep Hollywood waves, to enhance your hair to have a little more volume, maybe a little more length to make more of an updo, or just to help hold that style. The quality of the hair we use, allows you to style it and keep it all day long, especially a look that you want to look natural and not fixed by too much product.
If time is not on your side, and you need to fix that bad trim or conceal any hair damage, then extensions may be your new BFF down the aisle. Extensions are not just for long lengths or mega volume, but they are great at helping you get through a sticky patch in your hair history and make you look your best with ease.
Just a little somethingWho doesn’t want some bling? From tiaras and veils, to a simple, yet elegant clip there is so much choice when it comes to accessories. General trends have shown a huge push for embellishments too and specifically for a beautiful headband.
We love this simple style look from Super Stylist Louise Baldwin. She wears Flat Tips in colour 6/22 all year round, but to enhance her hair she added a Clip In Volume T2-4/8 to add depth and a little more volume. Just styled with ghd soft curl tong, and brushed through with our wide toothed Wave Comb.
Treating yourself to extensions is an investment for more than your big day. If you want to know more about what to consider, take a moment to read our blog on Getting your Bridal Hair right for your Big Day and head to our Pinterest Bridal Hair Board for some beautiful inspiration.
