The Bridal Hair Trends for 2022
With a virtual Save The Date in your inbox, we have the trends to know ahead of those Bridal Hair consultations, so you are in the know and ready to help your bride look her best on her big day.
LOW KEY
The ‘au naturel’ trend continues following our blog about 2021 trends with brides wanting a low-key look following the pandemic. Whether that’s going back to their natural colour or just going for a glamorous but simple everyday look for their big day. Undone braids are also expected to be popular to create that more feminine look.
We loved this from RC Stylist Danielle Louise Hair from a Bride and her mum, both opting for extensions to add volume to their hair but keeping their looks stunningly simple. The Bride wears a 16” Elegance Weft in 7/20 and Mother of the Bride has Tapes in 55/60 and 9/613.
A CLASSIC UPDO
To give your clients major Paris Hilton wedding day vibes, why not opt for a classic updo? This timeless beauty of a hairstyle is perfect for a stunning, fresh and chic look.
We love this look on Paris and this can be easily re-created with our gorgeous Elegance Hair Buns.
Made In Chelsea star, Lucy Watson also flaunted this gorgeous style at her wedding in September. So if Paris somehow wasn't enough inspiration, Lucy’s look here is bound to help with your clients' decision.
HALF UP HALF DOWN
This is a trending style for everyone, but had an A-Lister upgrade when Ariana Grande opted for this look for her big day last year here. The perfect elegance for any bride.
Bubble ponytail and braids also feature heavily in half updos. AllThingsHair explains that a pearl embellished bubble pony and curled lower layers is also a perfect style for bridesmaids.
DETAILS
As we know, wedding planning is all about the details and 2022 is embracing this with brides adding little flourishes to their look that don’t break the budget.
We loved this glamorous transformation from #RCStylist Willow Hair. Confirming the earlier trend of low-key, this simple style adds little pearl dots to her full head of extensions and frames the bride's face.
Headbands have been back on trend for a few years, but the new trick is layering them up for more impact. With beautiful styles perfect for bridal hair, it’s a modern take on a tiara too. Leading hair accessory brand LELET NY shows us how to steal this style here.
Emily in Paris star, Lily Collins, opted for a neat ballerina bun for her bridal hairstyle last September. Head to the stylists Instagram feed here to see the true detail of intricate mini braid wrapping around the bun to symbolise eternal love.
